Its been one year since the Duroville trailer park was taken over by a federal court and saved from being shut down by the government. The judge ordered a series of wholesale changes with the intent that the almost 4,000 residents find new places to liv in two years. Since then the place has been radically transformed from a sprawling, ugly slum to a less sprawling, tidy slum. The packs of wild dogs are gone, millions have been donated for food and medical facilities, afterschool classrooms have been st up, the illegal businesses are gone, crime is down etc. Now if they can just persuade the people to leave.
